While I wait: The Power of Patience in Achieving Goals

Waiting Patiently

I have been keeping myself busy lately while I patiently wait. It helps me not to focus too much on what still needs to be done. In those moments of distraction my mind is working behind the scenes. I sometimes get those aha moments out of nowhere as if someone has opened a pathway that was once closed. I have learnt not to want to rush back into the swing of things whenever I have a breakthrough. I still give myself the time I need without expecting too much. The more patient I am the more things start to come back naturally.

Taking Care of The Golden Goose

You can’t expect the best from yourself if you’re not at your best. If I don’t take care of me, “the golden goose,” how can I produce good results? I start to see a decline in my performance and overall well-being as soon as I start neglecting my needs. On the otherhand, whenever I take care of my physical and psychological needs I get better results.

Patience Through Grace

Each day I try not to expect too much from myself, and when I don’t feel like it that’s okay. We all have different ways to motivate ourselves. I have come to learn over time what it takes to motivate me. I have days of productivity and days where I do absolutely nothing. One thing for sure is that whenever I give myself a little more grace through patience I get better results. Tomorrow, I don’t know if I will manage to carry out all that I’ve set out to do. I will still try my best.
