Where Will I Be Going?

Can you keep a secret? In a couple of months I will be going to a very special place. Today I bought a suitcase for my trip. Here in Italy it’s still ❄️ but where I will be going isn’t. Getting an early dose of vitamin D will do me a lot of good. I have been planning this trip for as long as I can remember. Each year I would put off my trip for two factors, lack time and money. None of which were available simultaneously.

You’re Warming Up

Now that I have made time and money become partners.The first thing I need to do this week is pull out all my summer clothes. I’m not planning to take too much stuff with me though. I am saving space for all the good stuff that I will be bringing back to Italy.

Emotional Journey

I haven’t travelled in a long while so I might get a little anxious going through  customs and basically just finding my way around the airport. I made sure to choose a window seat for my flight ✈️ so that I can see the outskirts above the clouds. I know that I will get teary eyed just before the plane lands. I will be keeping my sunglasses on just in case I get too emotional 😭

Trying Not To Be Santa

I would love to bring a small gift for everyone but my budget is very tight. Nevertheless I will make an extra effort for those closest to me. Another solution would be to get them a gift once I’m there. On the other hand everyone will be so happy to see me. After all these years me getting them a gift or not won’t matter at all.

Time Is Of The Essence

I can’t wait to meet my grandchildren and  time is of the essence. Family, friends, childhood memories and new opportunities all await me. With just two weeks to get everything done I must plan wisely. We all know that nothing ever goes completely as planned but I will find a way to make it work.
