Finding Topics To Write About

With so many topics on what to write about it should be easy, shouldn’t it? You can write about anything, as long as it makes sense, right? Well that all depends on if you know what you’re talking about. Context and flow are important if you want to keep your readers engaged. When all comes down to it people like to read topics that they can relate to.

Exploring Ideas: Unlocking Spontaneity

Lately I have found myself in a rut trying to come up ideas on what topic write about. Is it because I discard every idea that I come up with? Before I used be open with my thoughts, ideas on what to write about was never an issue. Exploring my ideas gave me lots writing material. In hindsight I achieved some of my best works when I explored all my ideas. Overriding analysis paralysis and overthinking the spontaneous side of me comes out. In those moments I am more open to experimenting without focusing too much on the outcome. https://www.immerse.education/beyond-syllabus/creative-writing/prompts/

Embracing Feelings Of Discomfort

So here I am writing with no clue on where it’s going inventing as I go along. Writing for the sake of writing, allowing myself to be spontaneous. In the back of my mind it all seems useless but then again I can’t tell for sure. Maybe a few months from today I’ll look back on this post and see the progress that I have made. I feel awkward but I won’t let that stop me. As I embrace the discomfort something becomes unblocked. Each sentence takes me one step further from where I started. Every uncomfortable feeling is one hurdle that I have surpassed and one step closer to me overcoming my writer’s block.
